I had a dream last night, most of which I can't remember, but I was standing in Times Square, and the thingy with the words, whatever it's called, was showing my Dad's email addy. Which makes sense, I guess, because I'm going to NYC and my Mom is sick and I'm a little worried about being gone. We live in different states anyway, it's just she tends to forget that telephones work even when I'm not at home.
So, Three Good Eggs?
My Mom. She's my best friend, she always has been. She's really sick, (recurrent breast cancer with bone and liver mets, the chemo caused heart damage, the whole nine), and like I said, we live in different states, so now, just hearing her laugh on the phone makes my day.
My friend Lois. We couldn't be more different, we agree on almost nothing, and it doesn't matter at all.
My friend Valerie. Loud and opinionated and would do anything in the world that I needed. Went all the way to NYC to see Joey in Rent with me, even though she couldn't have cared less and we ended up in the absolutely worst hotel in the city.
I have to give honorable mentions to my daughters. They're twins, so I can lump them together as one. It goes without saying, really, that they are the light of my life.
