I had to go buy a new power cord for my laptop today. This is the second one that Neville's chewed through. It's been looking a little ragged, but when I sat down last night, it threw blue sparks at me. So I bought a new cord and a) the connection doesn't get hot and make my fan run while the battery charges, and b), wow, it's staying charged for hours. Like, more than three. I've been having power issues, it doesn't want to charge things like my ipod or my ebook reader or my brother's Blackberry. Maybe the chewed up cord was the problem. Thank you, Neville. At $85 a pop, I think that's enough of that.
When Colleen and Adam were here the other day, she brought her hamster. I have a feeling he's not going with them to Seoul or Bali or wherever they end up going, what do you think? Every time he twitches, Neville barks like someone brought one of his beloved chipmunks into the living room just for him.
He's getting better about letting Lucy on our bed at night, though. Which means she's not down here in the living room caterwauling all night long. Thank god for small favors.

Fred seems to have awakened from his 18-month hibernation, finally. Srsly, he spent the last year and a half living under the doormat, only eating when I dragged his ass out and stuck him in the middle of the plate with the food. But the past few days he's been toddling around the sunroom, making that ominous clunking noise he does when he tries to climb up the wall and falls over on his back. Yesterday he was trapped under the treadmill - lucky I heard him under there before I hopped on it.
I was sad to see Sidney Pollack died. Tootsie is one of my favorite movies.
I should be working on my Big Bang story. I have the story I want, I'm happy with that part of it, but there's more to it in my head, things I'm having trouble getting out. I know what they are, I have a plan and everything. But somehow tonight the lure of Jensen as a mail order bride is just too strong.

ETA: WHY DID NO ONE TELL ME IT WAS AN UNFINISHED WIP!!?!?!
