*runs around in circles with my hands in the air like Erin's impression of second season Sam*
"OMG, Dean, what arethe demon's
wendy's plans for me?!?!?"
Thirty days. I can do it. And then I can relax. Right? RIGHT??
In hockey news, I do not hate the Carolina Hurricanes. They have no history with the Penguins yet to make me hate them. How can I face a playoff series without any hate? Eastern Conference finals, baby. Starring
canadiankracka's future husband.
The Race for the Cure went just fine on Sunday. Columbus has one of the biggest ones in the country and there were 45,000 people there, half of them wearing hot pink wigs. The 5K was first, and then the girls and I grabbed Lar and did the Family Fun Mile Walk. It was slow going among all the dogs, strollers, and kids, and Larry thought maybe he had overtrained for it by using the treadmill twice. He actually got a blister on his foot, but we blamed that on his socks and the walk back to where we parked the car.
The best part of the Columbus race is always the half mile or so of Harley's along the sidewalk, pink ribbons mixed with black leather, engines revving the whole way. They station themselves close to the finish line and it always gives me that kick I need to get there.
June 9th is our 30th wedding anniversary, and we decided this weekend that we need to do something special for it. I think we're going to spend a few days in NYC, see a play, and eat a lot. It took many four-way conversations between me, the girls and Larry to make this decision. He thought I might want jewelry but knows I hate everything he buys me. I'd rather spend the money on something we can do together instead of something just for me, but he seemed so uninterested when he shrugged and said whatever I planned was fine with him, that I thought maybe he just wanted to stay home and work in his garden. He told the girls, no, he had already scheduled that week off from work. I'm so glad he shared that information with me. *rolls eyes*
So, we're going to New York. The week before my Big Bang posting date. OMG!
*writes frantically*
