withdiamonds at 11:07am on 04/01/2010So I'm watching the SPN pilot on TNT. It's not like I can't watch it anytime I want, but it's fun to see it in syndication. Also, Pilot! "Take me home." "Dad's on a hunting trip." "I love the Smurfs." Jensen's real voice, even though it sounds like he had a cold. "We were raised like warriors." The beginning of my fear of the rear view window in my car. The exposition. "Well, for one, they're cassette tapes." "That Constance chick, what a bitch." They were so freakin' young. So damned adorable. Ten gazillion commercials, so it's just like watching it on the CW.
The weather here is just what I like in winter - light snow, with several inches on the ground, so it looks pretty but it's not a problem, 20 degrees but no wind, so it's cold but not awful.
It looks like Orlando is a bit chilly, too. We're leaving on Friday. My leg is maybe a little better. I could hardly walk this past week, and was thinking there's no way I can run/walk/shuffle through 26 miles, and it would be stupid to even try, but since yesterday it's felt better. I spent most of the past week sitting, maybe that helped. Whatever. We'll see. Obviously, I should have gone to the doctor weeks ago, but I kept thinking it would heal if I stayed off it. There's no way I'm letting anyone tell me I can't do the race at this point, so depending on how Sunday goes, maybe I'll see someone after.
