I just spent the past two days reading a dental hygienist certification exam. The candidate wasn't visually impaired, which is what I'm used to. I'm not supposed to ask if they don't tell me, but I'm guessing she had some kind of learning/reading/processing issue.
The point is, I spent all morning looking at dental x-rays and PICTURES OF THE GROSSEST TEETH EVER. There was plaque and caries and rotten teeth and red spots and brown and white and yellow - argh, it was awful. I had to look away, and I completely lost my appetite for lunch.
When I got home I immediately looked at pictures of Jensen smiling, because I needed to see some NICE teeth.
When I started writing my Big Bang, I made a playlist. Not to listen to while I write, I can't do that, but for when I was in the car, or cooking, or cleaning the bathrooms. It has over 50 songs on it, because I'm easily bored. Here's a sample:
Dead and Gone, TI and JT
Gone, NSYNC
Losing My Way, Timberlake
The Way We Were, Barbra Streisand
Never Gone, Backstreet
I'm So Tired, the Beatles
Good Morning Heartache, Billie Holiday
Everything I Do (I Do It For You), Bryan Adams
Wherever You Will Go, the Calling
Return to Me, Dean Martin
Walking After You, Foo Fighters
Dear Goodbye, JC Chasez
Imagine, John Lennon
Vaya Con Dios, Patsy Cline
Wising You Were Somehow Here Again, Michael Crawford
If You're Gone, Matchbox 20
No Reply, the Beatles
On the Outside, Sheryl Crow
For No One, the Beatles
Here With Me, Dido
I Fall to Pieces, Patsy Cline
Gone Away, Chris Kirkpatrick
I think it's safe to say it's not the happiest story I've ever written. Can you tell it deals with AHBL2?
There is a chipmunk living in our garage and Neville is obsessed. It's all he can think about. It's a good thing Lois and Horace are coming for a playdate. Ha, Neville has a dog bed in the living room, where he keeps his toys and blanket and where he stashes the occasional treat, usually one he's snatched out from under Horace's nose. Horace has a toy called a squirrel, which is kind of like a frisbee made of cloth. Nev doesn't often chase it when Lois throws it around the yard, because he's so not a retriever, but last week, when we came inside, Lois put it in her bag. We were all sitting around talking, when I realized Nev had very quietly taken the squirrel out of Lois's bag and dragged it over to put in his bed. He is such a hoarder, and he wants everything that Horace has.
Adam and Colleen are in Borneo now.
