We had a nice weekend in Columbus. Lois found a dress, we found a tie for the groomsmen that both the bride and groom liked, we had fun. Lois has two sons, and so really appreciated Erin and Ashley's company and input. Erin and Ashley got into a bit of a tiff, with me in the middle, as usual, but we all got over it.
The raw vegan diet is going well. It's the most amazing thing, I have no cravings whatsoever, for anything. It's bliss. It's not something I'm going to do for life, but it's been interesting. I've dropped a few pounds and seem to have extra energy. I'll never hear the end of it from Ashley if I acknowledge that I may, just possibly, feel better without dairy. Chocolate milk is my favorite recovery drink after a run, but I've been eating watermelon instead. Eh, it works. The thing about eating raw vegan is if you watch the nuts and avocados and hummus and dried fruit, there's no real need for portion control. If I get hungry, I just eat something. It's very freeing. And every diet plan I've ever seen acts like eating an entire banana at once, instead of just a half, is the sole reason people are overweight. And eating this way, I can eat a whole banana without guilt! As Ash says, I'm a runner: I'm obligated to eat as many bananas as possible.
It's very weird to me when someone in fandom dies. (There was someone recently, who I didn't know at all, I just saw friendsfriends talking about her death.) I feel like I have to go look at their livejournal, and to see their posts, and then they're just gone, and it really haunts me, for some reason. I have such a sense of mortality when it happens.
