I think it's finally cooled off a bit. In spite of the heat, I had the best run yesterday. It's nice when that happens. Ashley's race took 16 1/2 hours, and she had a wonderful time. Their van got stuck in the mud and it took seven people to push it out, including a husband and wife team who were taking turns running the whole relay by themselves, which meant 50 miles each. Their kids were in their van with them - sounds like a fun family weekend!
I had such a good run yesterday, seven miles, that I had some cake last night. I woke up with a headache this morning, and I think it was the sugar. Hmm, maybe that will be a good reason to stay awake from cheap, grocery store baked goods, which are, of course, my favorite kind.
Larry is so weird sometimes. He reads a lot of books about American history, and likes to tell me fun facts. Yesterday he looked at me very seriously and said, "I never realized that Dolly Madison wasn't fond of James Monroe's wife." And then waited for my response, like I might really have one. I mean, what does one say to something like that? I think I raised my eyebrows and said, "Huh," with as much concern as I could muster.
Wow, FB is so lazy. I don't even have to comment on things, just click on "like." That way, you can pretend you're interacting with people, but you don't really have to.
Leverage was fun last night, although I was very confused by the logistics. No matter, how everybody got to where they were isn't the point, I don't suppose.
The season 6 spoilers coming out of the SPN panel at Comic Con yesterday make me very happy. Happy to know there's a vision and a plan and a direction. I don't know why one would think there wouldn't be, but I'm glad to see it laid out. I'm going to follow my usual MO wrt all of it - wait and see what really happens, what they really do, before I get worked up about any of it. As far as the video and audio of what when on yesterday, they are all just too delightful for words.
