I've been uploading old stories to AO3. Mostly without reading them, because I just can't make myself do that. But my old Sentinel stuff is so full of MS Word coding that I can't avoid it completely. Yikes. I wrote my very first story in 2000. Let's just say there's been some improvement since then.
I'm in the process of uploading the Lambs Epic. I debated whether it leave it as multiple chapters, or just divide it into two parts, and decided to leave it as chapters. This one is not full of bad coding, so I don't have to even skim it. Part of me is tempted, but then I'd just want to edit the crap out of it, which it truly needs, and I don't have time for that.
I'm so used to the CW treating SPN like crap, and they don't really surprise me much, but yesterday's stupidity was even *more* stupid than usual. What a waste of a good buzz.
So instead I watched Hawaii Five-0 and pretended I was somewhere warm and green.
Dear Self,
If you're excited about the story you're finishing up and can't wait to post it, but you have a specific posting date, you can still post a story - all you have to do is actually write another one. It's perfectly possible to write a story without a deadline or a posting date. Try it!
