Or rather, Adam did. He was back in the sunroom. I hadn't given that room more than a cursory glance, because getting in there involves two steps and I assumed if Fred had thrown himself down those steps he'd have ended up on his back, right there in plain sight.

But, no, he was under the chest, trying to hibernate again. I told him no way and tossed his ass in some warm water, both to warm/wake him up and to get all the cobwebs, cat hair and dried turtle skin off him. It took him a while to perk up, but he just hissed at me, so he's fine.

Now I just hope he'll eat something.

And of course, Adam wasn't actually looking for him, he was just working on his plants and he happened to see him. He and Larry have been a big help in finding Fred this last week. Every time I mentioned it, they kindly explained that maybe I should look *under* the furniture, or *in the corners* with a flashlight. Adam offered the advice that I should *search each room* one at a time.

Very helpful.

In other news, Gmail is borked for me today. Every time I open it, my browser crashes, it doesn't matter if it's Firefox or Safari. It works on my phone, but still. My iGoogle homepage works just fine. Who the fuck knows.

I'm having some problems with my [livejournal.com profile] spn_cinema story, because while "Same Time, Next Year" may be a rom com, it's all about infidelity, and as [livejournal.com profile] topaz119 pointed out, post-Brokeback Mountain, I may need to do some things differently. She was very helpful last night, and I think I at least now know what I'm doing.

My [livejournal.com profile] spn_j2_bigbang is right around 1000 words, but I feel like what I'm writing now is sort of preliminary, so once I get to the meat of the story, what's percolating in my head, I should be fine.

Lois is coming for dinner tonight, and since she can't come tomorrow, we're having BIRTHDAY CAKE. I'm very excited, and am going to eat as much of it as I want.
