withdiamonds at 08:28am on 30/03/2011It's cloudy in Chicago today, but not as cold. It doesn't matter, we haven't been going out much. Our hotel isn't within easy walking distance, in this weather, of all the awesome shopping, so I'm staying in and either running or writing. I've made some BB progress and just this morning finally found my hook. This may be doable.
We had dinner last night at a rather trendy restaurant where the starting amuse bouche was awesome, my appetizer was gross, my entree was delicious and the dessert was the most wonderful thing I've ever tasted. I had lukewarm espresso with it, so I was awake later than I wanted to be, but it was still fun. We walked part of the way back to the hotel, but when we hit a sidewalk closed by construction we grabbed a cab.
Tonight is the President's Dinner at the Sears Tower. The president of the ABA is Larry's once and future partner, so we're going. We usually aren't invited. Larry's not a fan of tall buildings, but he'll have to suck it up.
I don't know if anyone else watches Parenthood, but I wasn't pleased last night. Once a show starts making people miserable just for the drama, I tend to get annoyed. Unless those people are Winchesters, of course.
The crappy internet is extra crappy this morning, I think I'll go run and then write. I'm just waiting until 9 so I can watch SPN while I run.
