withdiamonds and fandoms in the immediate queue include SPN, CWRPS, H50, and old popslash.
Larry, who is not a Mac person, mostly because he doesn't want to learn anything new, has been seduced by the iPad. He's been thinking about an e-reader, since he's going to be living in a small one bedroom apt in C-Bus for a while and he's a voracious reader, and has been looking into the pros and cons of Nooks and Kindles. He mentioned an iPad and I told him they are very shiny, so shiny that I haven't let myself actually look at or handle one. He scoffed, but he called from work today just to tell me that someone there has one and he played with it and that's it, decision made.
I laughed.
It hit me today that I don't think many people are going to be reading my SPN_J2 Big Bang this year. It's gen, mostly John, pre-series, with a little bit of John/Mary. Yikes. I don't know if I'd read it if I just stumbled across that description.
But that's okay, I got a comment today on my 2009 BB. It's always such a nice surprise to get comments on older stories. I need to remember that and do it myself more often.
I'm glad LJ's okay today. Whoever is DDoSing it needs to DIAF, mostly because I'm tired of seeing people bitch about it like it's all LJ's fault.
