Ashley is here for the Pittsburgh marathon tomorrow. We're both running the half. I was promised rain and cool temperatures, but right now it's hot and sunny. *looks around hopefully for cold front*
The half marathon course has been described as fast and flat, and I certainly hope that's true.
It's weird to be getting ready for a big race from my house instead of a hotel room. I'm making spaghetti right now, and we bought cupcakes for dessert. (Not the right kind of carbo-loading, I know.) I'm going to eat a better breakfast and hope not to run out of gas the way I did two weeks ago in Cincinnati.
Of course, we have to leave the house at 4:30 for a 7am start time, because of road closures, and I'm thinking a hotel room in downtown Pittsburgh sounds pretty good right about now.
I'm not sure when we'll get to eat our spaghetti, because Larry and Ash just left for the Verizon store. His Droid is a piece of shit and has been from the beginning. They've already replaced it once, since he bought it in April, but they gave him a refurbished one and made him take the battery out of the original non-working one and put it in the "new" one. I'm thinking the battery is the problem. He often has to take it out and put it back in to make the phone turn on. Ash thinks they're taking advantage of the fact that Lar's easily frustrated by the phone and she's going with him to make sure he gets a phone that works. I wouldn't be surprised if they come home with an iPhone, since he loves his iPad and at least knows how to work it.
Adam left this morning for Erin's, where he's spending several days. He's never been there before and no GPS known to man recognizes her street name, so Larry, Ashley and I tried to give him detailed directions. He wasn't interested in listening and I yelled at him before he left that I hoped he got lost. (He has a certain tone that I had had just about enough of.) Haha, he did, for two hours. Karma's a bitch, baby, and Larry, Ashley and I were highly amused.
Fannishly speaking, Bones made me teary this week, even though I felt manipulated.
