Why is Facebook all of a sudden filled with BBQ sauce and mystery seedlings?!
My Big Bang has reached a little over 38,000 words and I'm ready to start editing \o/! I have gorgeous artwork and it appears my artist "gets it" so maybe my fears of having written a long-ass story that completely misses the point are unfounded. Although I also explained to her what I was going for, so... Anyway, I wasn't editing as I went along and haven't actually read the whole thing at once, so I have no idea how it hangs together. I also have a long list of things I meant to include but didn't. But I'm excited to get started, which is good. I mean, I'm not sick of it yet and that's awesome. I'm not kidding when I say I don't think it'll have a huge audience, but that's okay, because I kind of love it anyway.
I'll be asking soon for beta help with it. 38,000 words of gen from John's pov. Think about it.
However, I may let it sit a bit and work on
spn_summergen. I know what I'm going to write, I'm excited about who I'm writing it for, so I'd best get started. I also know what I'm writing for the Sam/Dean mini-bang. I haven't been this excited about writing in a while, and it feels really good. My mind isn't skittering away from the idea of opening Word docs like it does when I'm struggling.
The story written for ME for
spnspringfling was posted this morning/last night and it's EXACTLY the kind of thing I love. J2, enemies who actually are hot for each other, hostility and tension, such a confused Jared, and then resolution. It's told in such a fun way, things revealed just a little bit at a time, and I love it. I can't wait to find out who wrote it.

And I'm off to go run before Adam needs my car to go take the GRE.
