My heart bleeded, girl

So we're a few weeks into spn_j2_bigbang posting. And I felt like I just needed to react to some comments I've seen here and there.

QUALITY OF ART =/= QUALITY OF STORY.

I'm not sure why that's such a hard concept. "Omg, the art sucks, it makes me leery of reading the story."

Really? Because I'm pretty sure they were done by two different people. It's the luck of the draw. A great story can have crappy art and vice versa.

Here's one that's even better. "Omg, the art sucks, but the author seems to like it, that must mean the story sucks, too, since they have such bad taste in art."

Because, you know, if one has any kind of manners at all, when an artist posts their art, they say, "I had such a wonderful story to work with!" even if the story sucked. They don't say, "Wow, what a sucky story, but I did the best I could with it, don't blame me."

And when a writer posts their story, they don't say, "Wow, I busted my ass writing this and this is the crappy art I get stuck with?" No, they say, "I want to thank my artist so much for all their hard work. Go, look at the art and tell them how awesome it is."

I mean, come on. /rant

In other news, writing Sam and Dean gen is exactly the same as writing Wincest, only without the sex.
