I feel so lazy, wow. Like my brain is molasses, or something. So, a post.

MTYG went live over the weekend and I got the most amazing story. My beloved Trickyfish, and such a beautiful Lance. It was exactly what I wanted, both early days and Chris's birthday this past October. I can't say 'thank you' enough. Same Song, Next Verse"

I have three stories I should be writing, but, I'm not blocked, exactly, I just don't care. Isn't that odd? The spn_50 states story is fun, and needs to be posted by Saturday. :shrugs: I have no idea if I'll finish it or not. I claimed another [livejournal.com profile] insmallpackages prompt that needs to be done by Jan. 6th, and the [livejournal.com profile] j2_everafter first draft is due, um, the 10th, maybe? Since we're going to Disney World from the 5th to the 10th, that means I need to get on that. That is, in fact, the only one I feel even the slightest impulse to care about. It's not like I don't have time, although it's been a little hectic, just because of the time of year. But, hey, I spend every evening watching reruns on TV and reading other people's stories, I could find the time to write, but I just don't. End of year brain mush? Who knows, but I don't like it.

Anyway, Ashley and I are heading to Columbus today. Larry is working this weekend, Nic is in Columbia, so Erin, Lar and I are going out to dinner New Year's Eve. Ash has plans in Oxford. I will probably come back to the 'Burgh on Sunday, since we're leaving for Orlando on Thursday and I refuse to come home from Florida to Christmas decorations still scattered around my house. Ash and I already got the tree down and out, at least.

The girls and I are running the half marathon at DW this year. Very restful, no pressures of the full or the Goofy challenge. It's the fifteenth anniversary of the half, so the special Donald Duck medal is as big as my head, and since we run for the bling...that's why we're all doing the half.

My shin splints are almost gone. I may have a slight stress fracture bone bruise in that same shin, from trying to start running again, but I don't care. "Bone bruises" at least have a time frame in which they heal, unlike shin splints, which linger for a eternity, no matte what course of action, or inaction, you follow. While not running, I've been working very hard at p90x, and am in fact in the middle of week 9, so I'm at least in good shape. It's only a half marathon, and I managed to do the Nike Women's Marathon in October with shin splints, after not having run since August. While I would dearly love to actually run a damn race for a change, instead of dragging an injury through one, I'm good. My Disney January race experiences have ranged from running well, managing to finish, not starting, and not finishing. None of those are fatal. I guess it's the "been there, done that" of it all that makes me not worried this time. This is our fifth year doing this, and it's turned into the one vacation a year that we all do together and enjoy, even Larry. The goal this year is to get to Universal and Harry Potter World, too.

Okay, things to do, places to go. I'm not going to complain about the constant packing and unpacking of my suitcase that my life seems to have become.
