My heart bleeded, girl

I hope everyone has a safe and happy New Year. I like New Year as a holiday, but Larry doesn't, so I've become acclimated over the years to mostly ignoring it. Tonight we went out to dinner with Erin and now Lar and Nev are asleep and I'm watching an NCIS marathon and reading old J2 fic. I love NCIS, I've pretty much seen every episode at one time or another, but it's one of those shows that when I watch it, I have no idea what season it is, or who anybody is other than the regular cast. I hated Jenny and don't remember Kate. It took me years to figure out who Shannon was. I usually have no idea what's going on, but I love it anyway.

I wrote a really long post about 2011 and 2012 and then made it private because it was long and - well, really long.

Instead let me say that 2011 was a good year for us, even though I don't really go in for that good year, bad year stuff. Nothing will be different tomorrow just because the calendar changes. But this year Larry found a job where he's actually happy, so even though it means us living 3 hours apart, it's a very good thing. Two of my children became engaged this year. The girls are healthy and employed in jobs they like. Adam is Adam, and he has Colleen, which makes him very lucky.

I know 2011 was rough for a lot of people, and I can only send out my hopes and wishes that 2012 is better for everyone.
