My P90X workout today is yoga, which is 90 minutes long. I have that penciled in for 3pm, which, not so coincidentally, is the start of the Pens game.
And then I'm going to re-pot some plants and maybe work on the cat shit that's stuck to Adam's bedroom rug. And then maybe, *maybe* around 10 o'clock tonight, I *might* check the score. Gah.
You know, some statistics are important, some aren't. In their playoff history, the Pens have been behind 2 games to 1 eleven times, and have come back to win the series five times, including the final against Detroit in 2009. Now, three of those times were against the Caps in the early 90s - *waves at Dale Hunter* - but still. That's an important stat.
In their playoff history, the Flyers have been ahead 2 games to 1 seventeen times, and have won the series...seventeen times. Now *that's* an example of a statistic that's completely meaningless, don't you think?
In the meantime, I'm watching the Wings/Preds game while I clean and vacuum and proofread. I do hope some of the violence abates in all these games. Too many elbows to the head for my taste.
Lois and I had a nice time at the ballet last night, and then went to their "afterparty" at a restaurant across the street. We had a very nice conversation with the woman who runs the ballet company's pilates studio, and we didn't get home until after midnight. (She and her husband have 20 year-old twin girls so we compared notes, and when her her husband heard Erin and Ashley are 31, he wanted to know if I'd had them when I was 12. Which, heh, funny, but nice to hear anyway. Even if he did then laugh at me for being upset that the Pens had lost twice to a better team. I didn't think he was so charming after that.) We got home just in time to see the Blackhawks score at the last second to force overtime again, and then I got to watch them win, which was a nice bonus on the night.
They're already getting ready for the marathon downtown, which had me checking the calender in case I had the date wrong. Three weeks out seems a bit early to be hanging banners on the Roberto Clemente Bridge with the marathon logo and RUNNERS OF STEEL across it, but it was exciting to see. I think they couldn't decide whether to call Pittsburgh the Steel City or the City of Bridges, so they compromised on Runners of Steel in the City of Bridges. Whatevs, both the full and the half course crosses four bridges, which is fun.
*goes off to keep busy omg*
