I'm back in C-bus. Note to self - NEVER FLY UNITED AGAIN.
( In the end, it was just plain hilarious, really. )
We had great fun at Disneyland, comparing it to Disney World. Ash went to meetings which involved trying to make the American Library Association greener and wore a ribbon that said "Librarians for the 99%"
Erin texted me a million times because Magil is peeing outside her litter box again. She recently had surgery to repair her ACL and while Erin and Nic do PT involving passive knee exercises in increments of 100, the vet said it's still swollen and stiff. So Erin cut down the side of the box and Magil managed to get in it. And then Erin texted me a PICTURE of pee IN the litter box because she thought it was dark in color and is afraid Magil has a UTI. Which, I have no idea what I was supposed to do about any of that, but I think it was a sign that she wished she was with us. Nic was in Portland for his bachelor party, and we wanted her to come with us, but she couldn't take the time off work. She and Larry had dinner Saturday night and I'm sure they talked smack about us the whole time.
Ash and I also went to see "Brave" and it was SO GOOD. It was about a girl! And her mother! And they're selling awesome curly red wigs in the Disney gift shops and Ash is going to buy one to wear for the Disney marathon in January.
Happy belated birthday to
frausorge. ♥
Also, while I was gone, the NHL draft happened in Pittsburgh. While I'm sad, sad, sad to see JStaal go, I do understand. I loved reading all about how his agent told him he'd been traded in the middle of his wedding reception, and how he said since half the team was there, he at least had a chance to say goodbye in person instead of by text, which is apparently how they usually say goodbye after a trade. He said he wasn't expecting it, but I think it was inevitable.
And wow, now the Pens have a gazillion dollars under the cap, and if they really and truly go after and get Zach Parise, I'll die. And Ryan Suter, too, which will make Detroit fans very bitter, I think.
And oh, right, that team I have a half a season's worth of tickets for. Someone on a forum recently described the Blue Jackets as a cess pool, and I'm thinking that may be accurate. I was excited when I saw they acquired Bobrovksy from Philly, which just tells you right there what a mess they are. One of their goalies is 5'7"! That means once they finally figure out where Rick Nash is going, there will be three players on the whole team that I've actually heard of - Bob, James Wisniewski, and Jack Johnson.
Okay, now I'm going to be a nice person and clean Larry's house for him. He doesn't expect that, so I don't mind doing it.
