Neville, Lucy and I are back in the 'Burgh. Larry's landlady said she doesn't want to add Lucy to the lease, even for the occasional weekend visit, so I guess poor Lucy has to be lonely sometimes. She settled in fine at Lar's house, but to be honest, if I never again have to spend three hours in the car listening to her meow, that's fine with me.

I had such a nice weekend. Ashley, Larry, Nic and I went to a Mediterranean restaurant Friday night for Ashley's birthday, which Larry picked special because they had a vegan section on the menu. Then Larry and Neville went to bed, and Ash, Nic and I went out. First we went and got ice cream, then we went to a bar, where I had Laphroaig, my very favorite single malt scotch. (Larry isn't allowed Scotch, so I have to drink it when he's not around.) We toasted Erin several times, because Nic missed her a lot, and Ash missed her on their birthday. Then we went to the movies and saw "Moonrise Kingdom," which was charming and quirky and absolutely wonderful.

Saturday Ashley and I went shopping, and I bought her shoes for Erin's wedding. Then she went with me while I got the tattoo I've been planning for a while. It's an Irish robin, and while it didn't turn out exactly like I had envisioned, I quite like it. Good thing, since it's not tiny. It took about 3 hours, because it has lots of layers. Chris, the artist, did it in black and gray with lots of shading to give it depth, then filled in the color. I almost stopped him before the color, because it looked so gorgeous without, but the color makes it even better. I don't think these pictures do it justice, but they're typical first day pictures, red around the edges and shiny with ointment. And of course they're sideways.

Larry doesn't like tattoos, so he studiously pretended it wasn't there. When Ash and I got home, the three of us went out for Indian food, and he looked a little stunned when we said it was me who got the tattoo, since he thought we'd been for Ashley. Finally yesterday he asked me what it was and with some prompting, agreed that if it wasn't on my arm, it would be "interesting."

I thought I was home for the next two weeks, but Lar called after I got home today to tell me he had the call schedule mixed up and that he's on this coming weekend, so I guess Nev and I will be schlepping back to the 'Bus on Friday. (I have no idea if anyone ever calls Columbus "The 'Bus" but since we do call Pittsburgh "The 'Burgh," I thought it fit.)

I'm happy to be reunited with my laptop.

I've been enjoying all the SPN pictures and footage out of Comic Con, and am amused by the spoilers. I like what Jeremy Carver had to say. I'm certainly not going to form any opinions based on anything JARED said, I can tell you that. I well remember Season 6. Not that I think he's a big ol' troll, (except maybe he is) I think he's just woefully uninformed about anything past the first two episodes, but that doesn't stop him from talking as if he knows all. He looks like he's lost a bit of weight, or is less bulked up - I like. Jensen never looks anything other than beautiful.

I am two episodes behind on Suits, but I did catch Leverage last night. I don't think it's a spoiler to say they were all looking very attractive.

In hockey news, how ironic would it be if there was a work stoppage the year I get re-invested?
