My heart bleeded, girl

My SDMB is up to 24,000 words and there is still more to write. IT'S THE STORY THAT NEVER ENDS. Holy crap.

There was sun for almost an hour today! It was kind of cozy, though. I ran a few miles, then got under a blanket with a smoothie and my laptop and wrote for a couple of hours while Neville and Larry took a nap.

I can't believe what a mess Bloomberg made of the NYC marathon. Dude, you should have canceled it on Tuesday. If I was one of the 47,000 runners registered, and I'd traveled to the city only to have it be canceled, I'd be pissed. But seriously, how silly to hang on to it for so long. Now's not the time for a race, and he should have known that.

Speaking of canceling things, the NHL's stupidity and posturing has screwed over the city of Detroit. As I told kiffle, once this idiocy is over, I'll be at the Blue Jacket's games, watching the Pens on TV, traveling to see the 'Hawks, and buying merchandise. Well, I at least need to buy something with a cannon on it for BJ games. Maybe I won't let them have any more of my money than that.

I won't care anymore whose fault it all was, I'll show up.

Because I'm weak.

That doesn't mean that I don't think the League is completely mendacious and reprehensible, especially wrt the Winter Classic. And while I have tix to the ASG, that needs to be canceled, too.

I'm not even going to discuss that insidious little flicker of hope that the news of possible renewed negotiation has fanned.
