We all know the past tense of "drag" isn't "drug," right?
You know those miscommunication angst stories, the ones where if they just *talked to each other* everything would be fine, but they don't, (because then there would be no story), and they end up hurt andcrying in their coffee mope-y and they argue and SAY THINGS and their friends take sides and try to help, and finally, FINALLY they talk and straighten everything out and live happily ever after? Those are so my guilty pleasure.
Ashley is doing a relay race tonight in Bloomington, IN. One hundred miles - the same 50 mile course twice - and they started at 4pm. There are five people on her team and they're each running four five mile legs, roughly. Ash just texted me to say "one down, three to go." They have a van, sleeping bags, food and water, and they're running all night. Ashley bought a headlamp and she's carrying her mace. Bloomington is hilly and dark at night, so mostly I'm just hoping she doesn't fall and break something.
I think I'm kind of jealous.
