Okay, here's what I think.

I think it's swell the angel plot was advanced and now Cas has the weapons and I liked Raphael's new vessel and Balthazar is amusing and we're all saved now, I guess.

I think they could have advanced that plot in any number of ways and they clearly did it this way so that, as Sera has said, Ben wouldn't get bored. In that aspect, it was a tad indulgent and not really necessary.

Did I mention that I loved every freakin' minute of it? Because who cares if it was self-indulgent when it was this fabulous?

I adored:

How each and every person involved was so completely willing to mock themselves.

How they made Jared and Jensen in that universe so completely OTT, so not *them*, which made it not creepy at all. I never once forgot they were Sam and Dean, and I never once thought they were Jared and Jensen.

Brian Doyle Murray! <3

DoOL, omg! Lois remembered that scene!

How they acknowledged the low ratings.

Dean making fun of Jensen and Misha's names.

Jared's house, with the tanning bed and the Warhol pictures and the alpaca's picture on the mantel, and the cowboy picture and the Otter Adoption dinner and Gen, who was gorgeous and adorable.

Misha was amazing, with the tweeting, and the total *inanity* of what he was tweeting, and the shrieking and crying and the sweater.

The "acting" scene was hilarious. "Don't look at the camera." Dean lowering his voice about ten registers. Sam not knowing what to do with his hands the whole time. Pure comedy gold, and that's the scene my local CW affiliate fucked up, so thank goodness for downloads.

Jensen's trailer, with the continuous footage of Jensen in the background, and the helicopter and the fish tank.

Kripke and Sera! "She's new."

The maple leaves all over *everything* and Dean's total indignation that they weren't even in the United States.

How there are too many lines to quote, because if I quoted my favorites, it would be an episode transcript. Jared and Jensen were amazing. Jensen is truly a gifted comic actor, but Jared was just as funny, especially physically. Their timing is impeccable together.

How the production staff kept saying "season six" like it was such a burden to be doing it. :)

The freeze-frame when they went through the window at the end.

Poppers and kidneys from Mexico and apparently beating an extra to death.

Dean's indignation at wearing makeup.

Jared's money! (Which reminds me, again, why are they broke? What happened to the dragon gold?)

Sam calling Clif "Clint."

That Dean acknowledged that they'd saved the world, and seeming damned proud of it.

That Sam wouldn't trade away all the shit that's been thrown at him since he was 6 months old in return for an easy life, because what they do is important.

That Dean realizes that Sammy's gotten a raw deal and offered him the chance to not go back to it.

And of course the real message of the episode, which was two-fold:

1) That they *matter* to the world they live in, that they think what they do is important enough to fight to get back there. Where they're *brothers.* ♥

2) At least they're talking. =D I loved how many times someone said that, and while they were referring to Jared and Jensen, come on, we know the show meant Sam and Dean. ♥ ♥ ♥

And omg, how could I forget "KM Studios?"
