I need to say thank you again to [profile] etsu_88 for writing me the lovely Guide to Surviving a Painful Breakup. She did a fabulous job of describing endings and beginnings and love and forgiveness and anger. It was a perfect story for me.

Okay, so I talked about my story a little bit the other day, and what I said made [personal profile] rikes    guess which story was mine.

I wrote The Fiction, the Romance, and the Technicolor Dreams for [personal profile] hegemony    . The title alone should have given it away. Matchbox 20 lyrics, yo.

Lydia asked for JC/AJ or JuC. I just couldn't find the energy - I was still wallowing in carb/inactivity induced sloth at the time, remember - to write someone I'd never written before, ie. AJ. (Sorry, JM, for the lack of Letterboys.  The canon was there and everything.) I spent all summer bitching about having to write JuC, but when I saw that was the second choice, I was so relieved. It felt like coming home.

Writing it still started out as a bit of a chore, and thus the backwards format. That made it more fun to write, kept my interest. I had the best time ever making their voices younger and younger, especially Justin's.  I really feel his voice at different ages more than I do the others.   And the more I wrote, the more I fell in love with them and it wasn't a chore anymore. If for that reason alone, I have to thank Lydia and the ladies of MtYG. It's not something I would have written without a reason, but it made me very happy.

Like I said, it felt like my love story for Justin, JC, and the popslash fandom.

It was a great popslash SeSa this year, and it meant a lot that we did it.  Thank you so much, [personal profile] ephemera  , [personal profile] phaballa  , [personal profile] nopseud   and [personal profile] vaudevilles  .
