My heart bleeded, girl

I had my first sign language class tonight. I'm teaching at the community college again, just like last year. Only this year my head is much more into it and I can already tell it's going to be better. I have sixteen students registered, fifteen showed up tonight. There's a fourteen-year-old boy, and it's policy that if someone is under sixteen they can only take a class if they're with an adult, so his grandfather is with him. He seems nice enough, but he announced to the class that he has no interest in ASL at all, which I thought was a little tacky. His grandson is taking the class because he wants to be a cop and thinks knowing ASL might come in handy. There's the usual array of folks with deaf family members or friends, wanna-be interpreters, and special education teachers. They seem nice enough so far.

Larry and I are leaving for Cincinnati around noonish tomorrow. Adam is staying with Neville, Lucy, and Fred, and my fish.

I'm very excited about new TV next week.
