Fic: I can't think of a title and it's almost not her birthday anymore

This is just a tiny little ficlet for [livejournal.com profile] topaz119 for her birthday. Next year, we should perhaps be at the Food and Wine Festival? ♥

Jared watched as Jeff got all up in Jensen's space, used his height to crowd him back into the wall. It was fucking hot, is what it was.

Jensen's eyelids fluttered, just a little. Jared didn't think it was enough that anyone else would notice, but Jensen's skills at subtle submission were directly wired to Jared's brain, and he couldn't not see it.

It was obvious from the slight shift of Jeff's shoulders that he was as aware of Jensen's reactions as Jared was.

Jensen's breathing sped up, again just enough that only someone who knew him well would notice.

Jensen turned his head slightly to the side and cast his eyes down. If that wasn't an invitation, Jared didn't know what was.

Jeff moved in closer, speaking almost directly into Jensen's ear. Jared shivered. He could almost feel the warmth of Jeff's breath on Jensen's cheek.

"You know, you fight and you fight for this family, but the truth is, they don't need you. Not like you need them. Sam – he's clearly John's favorite. Even when they fight, it's more concern than he's ever shown you."

Jeff spoke in a low growl, challenging, waiting, and Jensen lifted his head to meet Jeff's eyes.

"I bet you're real proud of your kids, too, huh? Oh, wait, I forgot. I wasted 'em."

Jeff's lips curled in a slow smile, cruel and taunting.

Jensen's answering smile made Jared's breath catch in his throat.

"Cut." Kim pulled off his headset. "Let's break for dinner, then they can rig Jensen's blood packets. We'll shoot his coverage next. Jeff, if you need to give your eyes a break, you've got thirty minutes."

Shannon was right there with a contact case and some saline drops. Jeff blinked in relief once the yellow lenses were out. The minute he dropped the saline bottle back into Shannon's hand, Jensen was there, pulling him away from set.

Jared watched them go, watched as their shoulders bumped and their heads tilted together in conversation. Jensen said something that made Jeff clap him on the shoulder, and Jared caught the low sound of Jeff's laughter. Jeff's hand dropped to the small of Jensen's back, and Jared swallowed, his mouth suddenly dry.

Carefully, Jared stood up. He'd been hard since they'd started filming the scene, he couldn't help it. Watching Jeff like that…watching Jensen like that, was almost more than he could take.

And they knew it, too, the bastards.

Tossing a quick smile at Kim, Jared hightailed it away from the set. When he'd almost caught up with his maddening co-stars, Jeff turned around and looked at him with a smirk.

"You coming?" he asked.

"We only have half an hour," Jensen said, his matching smirk equal parts hot and annoying. "I'm not sure there's time for all of us to come."

"Then we'd better move our asses," Jeff said.

Jared grinned and hurried after them. Somehow, Jeff made Vancouver seem a hell of a lot hotter, even in the depths of winter, and Jared appreciated that more than he could say.
