The Pens playoff performance so far has me avoiding the NHL Network because they're going to TALK ABOUT IT and I can't deal. So I'm going to have to suck it up, or end up denying myself the pleasure of the rest of the playoffs.
Lois and I are going to dinner and the ballet tonight - Coppelia, which mean many peasants in apron costumes. So I can watch the beginning of the Caps/Bruins game and the end of the Blackhawk's game. Those are the ones I care about today, so that works.
Larry is on call, so he's in Columbus. I stayed in PGH because of the ballet. Now that he's moved into his house, he seems both happier and lonelier. I hate to miss a weekend with him. Hmm, maybe absence does make the heart grow fonder. Or at least less irritated. We're going to Seattle on Apr. 23 for a week, for the American Burn Association meeting. Every year this is where I do the bulk of my Big Bang writing, (it beats socializing with people who think Johnny Cash singing "I fell into a burning ring of fire" is an appropriate ringtone for a burn surgeon - oh, wait, that's Lar,) but it's usually in March. I'm not sure how helpful it will be this year. I have much thinking to do about this.
I don't think I've mentioned that I occasionally proofread for an epublisher, but I do, and there's a book that needs to be done RIGHT NOW, so there's my afternoon before the ballet. It's pretty good so far, which isn't something I can always say.
