withdiamonds at 08:41pm on 09/09/2012Okay, Steeler's first game tonight. I think I like Peyton better doing commercials than as an opposing quarterback. The Steelers have a new offensive coordinator and some injuries, (James Harrison) so I'm thinking the Broncos have the edge here. Al Michaels and Chris Collinsworth certainly seem to think so. I may have to turn the sound off.
Also, Ryan Clark can't play in Denver (sickle cell trait), so that won't help the Steeler's defense. I'm also curious to see how the replacements refs do. I don't mind saying I hope they screw things up royally. I find it unconscionable that the National Football League, which makes gazillion of dollars, can't be bothered to pay the people who are responsible for the flow and integrity of the game.
Also, I may have said this before, but the Steelers have the hottest coach in the NFL.
Gorgeous weather today. Neville had a great time in the yard. Too good, if the stench coming off him is any indication. I foresee a bath before bed.
I spent most of the day either perusing Camp BioSteel and other hockey players working out at What's Up, Ya Sieve, or reading all about Chris Kluwe at Deadspin.
It was very satisfying.
