withdiamonds at 01:55pm on 13/11/2012Back to Pgh this morning. I had a nice weekend, although Erin went into psycho hose beast mode at dinner Sunday. We agreed that she perhaps gets a trifle too tense when she cooks for company, omg.
The Steelers' game last night was pretty much unwatchable. There's nothing that makes football players look more incompetent than rain, seriously. I said to Lois before the game started, watch, they're going to provide Kansas City with a big lead/win, because that's what the Steelers do. And they would have, if it wasn't for some questionable officiating. Since I'm a big believer in the idea that bad officiating evens out over the course of a season, and everybody gets screwed at one time or another, I'm okay with that.
I'm not okay with Ben's shoulder and can only hope it heals quickly, which Ben is wont to do. As Ben goes, so goes this team...
In hockey news, in a moment of sublime awkwardness, Gary Bettman actually showed up and gave a speech at the Hockey Hall of Fame inductions last night, Mike Richards is looking for guys to play street hockey on the roof of a parking garage in Winnipeg, and the 2011-12 NHL MVP is in Siberia being molested by goats.
Way to go, guys.
